How to Deal With Distractions
This Modern Age, i.e. modern life, is challenging. We are hardly hunters and gatherers anymore. They call us clickers and scrollers. After reading many many self-help books and consuming copious amounts of countless lifehack blogs, I’d like to present you some ultimate fool-proof advice on how to deal with distractions and boost your productivity:
- Meet friends
- Turn off your computer (alternatively: all electronic devices)
- Switch off your phone
- Close Facebook, Twitter (or any other slot machine of your choice)
- Delete all apps you open frequently for no effing reason
- Close your email app
- Monotask
- Buy a dumb phone
- Read a book
- Take a walk
- Sabotage your WiFi at home and wait three weeks for a BT technician
- Have sex
- Help a friend (see above)
- Get rid of a friend (see above)
- Watch the grass grow
- Get stuff done
- Lose your wallet
- Read a map
- Get a pet
- Have a nap
- Find a new hobby
- Burn your todo lists
- Quit your job
- Fire your boss
- Move into the woods
- Become a ninja and be the distraction
That’s all I can say. To be continued.
